1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rugs.
Prior to budget robot vacuum mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. For this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it could get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent and include a pair of mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops can also be refilled at the top of the station when they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors.
